CLARITY - Employment for Blind People

Charity reg. no. 210794

The sole aim of CLARITY is to promote the welfare of blind and disabled people by providing employment in normal factory conditions. When such people find it difficult to compete for open employment, we can, through our factories, train and employ them so that they are able to make a full and useful contribution to society as is their right.

London Factory

At our factory in London, approximately 55 registered blind and disabled people are employed and they are ably backed by sighted staff. Wages are paid exactly in line with sighted Local Authority workers. Our intention is to care for our blind employees throughout their lives and considerable sums are expended in providing adequate pensions during retirement and also in making ex-gratia payments in times of need whenever they may arise.

Our employees are involved in the production of quality toiletry and household products and for more than fifty years we have been selling these products through a nationwide Direct Sales Organisation. The operation today is organised through Regional Managers who recruit and train local Telesales agents who sell our products direct to householders and businesses.

Our Products

Unlike other charities we do not ask for donations. We ask for your support by buying some of your toiletry and cleaning product requirements from CLARITY and so enable us to continue with our work of providing employment, welfare and support for blind and disabled people.
