Employment
Training & Development

Each employee is issued with a personal Development Plan which ensures they receive the necessary training and skills needed to do their job, training them ready for open employment and giving them the skills necessary in everyday life. eg. Literacy, numeracy and IT classes.
There are 7 specific areas to the Development Plan:

Workplace Training - Training for each task on the factory floor is broken down into three stages; Training, Practice and Competency. Each employee is trained in a particular task on the factory floor, they are then able to practice this skill over a period of time and once they and their line leader feel that they are fully competent in that particular task they are then issued with a competency certificate.
NVQ Qualifications - There is an opportunity for all employees to undertake NVQ qualifications in: Manufacturing and Performing Manufacturing Operations/Customer Service and Team Leaders.

Foundation Skills Module - Employees are constantly trained/monitored in good manufacturing practices which involves an understanding of the companies health & safety/equal opportunities/quality control and environmental policies.
Jobsearch - CLARITY has a dedicated Training & Progression Manager who meets weekly with all employees who wish to find open employment. He is there to give guidance on updating CVs, work on developing interview techniques and also encourage employees to search for jobs both on the internet, through job centres and newspaper adverts etc.
