Work Choice (previously Workstep) is a government funded programme that aims to assist individuals with disabilities and long term health problems to:

  • Find and maintain long term employment
  • Retain employment with a current employer when at serious risk of losing their job

Work Choice's aim is to match the disabled person to a suitable job and provide a flexible support programme that meets the need of both employee and employer. Work Choice enables individuals to work within a commercial environment, providing the possibility to progress into open employment where appropriate.
