Overview:

CLARITY / GWB offer a linear series of up to 4 modules for disabled people to support the process of securing long term open employment. All candidates must be eligible for WORKSTEP / Work Choice and be referred by another disability employment service.

 MODULE 1: Introduction to Manufacturing & Packing

·                    A 3 week work “taster” (unpaid), covering a number of different operations within the manufacturing process.

·                     Includes full induction process including health and safety.

·                     Allocation to a work “buddy”.

 

MODULE 2: Experiencing Manufacturing & Packing

·                     3-month work experience placement (unpaid).

·                    Formal training to Standard Operating Procedures in one or more operations with the expectation of acquiring CLARITY Certificate(s) of Competence.

·                     Allocation to a work trainer.

·                     Foundation Skills training in Health & Safety, GMP, Quality, Equal Opportunities.

·                     4 days per week (Monday – Thursday).

·                     5th day with referring employment service training

 

MODULE 3: NVQ Performing Manufacturing Operations

·                    A 12 month contract (paid) for internal training to Clarity certificate level, then progression to NVQ level 1 or 2.

·                     6 month extension possible to complete the NVQ qualification.

·                     4 days per week

 

MODULE 4: Specialism

·                     12 month contract (paid) undergoing training in either: 

        Warehousing, Team Leadership, Engineering, Quality Control /  Laboratory, Order Fulfilment, Customer Service
